So here we are; my first blog entry and your first visit to our new website. Welcome! Everything you see on this site is brand new, so please take a moment to look around and really take it all in. Go ahead and click on the “contact” link. Even if you don’t want to contact us, you can take pride knowing you may have been the very first person to see that screen.
Ultimately, I would like fugato.ca to contain the answers to all Fugato related queries. We’ve got the basics covered at the moment. Questions like, “Who are Fugato?” “Where can I see Fugato?” and “What does Fugato sound like?” Actually, you know what? If you’ve got a Fugato question let us know and we’ll do our damndest to answer it for you. We may even throw it on the site.
Alright, I can’t go on without explaining a few things. We just released a new album and I don’t think people really understand what kind of process this is. Yes, we write our own songs and they are badass. However, it takes more than a just band to get the full-on rock experience that is Fugato. I feel it is very important to point out the individuals that make team Fugato.
Fugato. Without us, things would be less loud. That would be bad.
Dave Skinner (Lukas Raine Recording). He captured the essence of Fugato so that anyone can hear it, any day, any time. Dave is a magician.
Donovan Morgan. Took us up a notch. We approve of that.
Andy Wood. Designer of all things Fugato. If you’ve seen our album cover, a poster for one of our shows, our shirts, or this website, you’ve seen Andy’s work. He is invaluable to us.
Chris Willcock (Lot2k). He made this site. It actually used to be a blank page. He MADE this. Chris is also magic.
Maggy Essery (Digitech Images). Made our shirts. They look good on you. Thank her.
Lloyd Doyle (Sandbar Music). Lloyd really helps us out on the industry side and is a great friend and resource. When he speaks, Fugato listens.
Music PEI. Rob Oakie and Devin Casario in particular. They’ve given us funding, recognition, and support within the music industry on PEI. I don’t think you can ask for much more than that. We are grateful.
Shawn Griffin. The definition of unsung hero. He may not go to all of our shows, buy our stuff, or even like our songs (I kid, I kid). He just lets us practice in his basement all the time. Fugato would not exist without him. Let us give thanks to Shawn. He deserves it.
